4-H FFA Project

Through its 4-H Fund, the Pueblo General Contractors Association members give back to the community by supporting young people’s 4-H and FFA projects at the State Fair.

The Pueblo County Fair, an annual event held at the Colorado State Fairgrounds, allows students in 4-H and FFA to show the projects that they have worked on all year.

The projects are divided into two categories, General and Livestock. The students showing livestock are allowed to sell one animal at the livestock sale, held after the judging is complete.

At the monthly Pueblo General Contractors meeting, tickets are sold for a “50-50” Drawing, with half of the proceeds going into a pool, which is then used to purchase a student’s animal at the State Fair’s livestock sale. At the 2014 State Fair in Pueblo, the PGCA bought two goats.

Pueblo General Contractors members enjoy supporting the youth in the Pueblo community.
